Glint — Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Glint is designed to be quiet in every sense, including with your data. In short: we don't collect, store, or sell any personal information, and we have no analytics or tracking of any kind.

What stays on your device

Your settings (chosen channels, cadence, voice preference), the record of which facts you've already seen, and cached content all live in your browser's extension storage. They never leave your device, except that Chrome may sync your settings between your own browsers if you have Chrome sync enabled.

What the extension fetches

Glint downloads its daily fact content from our static content feed. This is an ordinary file download; we do not log who requests it.

Custom channels

If you create a custom channel, the topic name you type (for example, "Formula 1") is sent to our content service so facts about it can be generated. Topic names are cached anonymously and are not linked to you. Please don't type personal information into a channel name.

Reading and voice features

The Focus reading view reformats the page you are viewing entirely within your browser — page content is never sent anywhere. Read-aloud uses your browser's built-in text-to-speech; the text being read is not transmitted to us.

What we never do

No accounts. No analytics. No advertising. No sale or sharing of data. No reading of your browsing history. Glint only acts on the page you're viewing, when a fact is due or when you invoke Focus.
